Introducing the GALI Reactor

GALICO

A New Frontier in Scalable Gas–Liquid Flow Chemistry

At Creaflow, we’re excited to officially launch Project GALICO, made possible with the generous support of Business in Antwerp. This initiative project marks the next step in advancing our platform and it brings with it something new: the GALI Reactor.

Short for Gas–Liquid Controlled Diffusion Reactor, the GALI is an innovative new inlay for our COSTA™ flow reactor technology, designed to efficiently and precisely introduce gases into continuous flow systems. The result? A powerful new capability added to our existing HANU (for multipurpose and photochemistry) and FAVO (for electrochemistry) reactor lines.

And yes, the name GALI also nods to a certain clever Gaulish village that always stood its ground against the odds.

Why GALI Matters

Traditional flow systems have long struggled with scalable gas dosing — especially the ability to add gas gradually and in a controlled way along the full reactor length. This is often compared to “dropwise addition” in batch chemistry, a key method for sensitive or gas-limited reactions.

With the GALI inlay, we’ve solved that.

Now, gases like oxygen, hydrogen, and CO₂ can be diffused with precision into the flow path, enabling better selectivity, safer conditions, and intensified, sustainable processes.

Built for Industry

Just like all Creaflow reactors, the GALI system is built on our proven COSTA™ technology, meaning it’s:

  •  Scalable — from 5 mL up to 150 mL+
  • Compatible — with our HANU and FAVO platforms
  • Industrial-ready — same process parameters, no redesign

This makes it not just a lab-scale tool, but a production-ready solution, supporting faster time to market and lower investment risk for companies innovating in gas–liquid chemistry.

With Support From the City of Antwerp

This breakthrough would not be possible without the financial support from the Stad Antwerpen, who co-funded the GALICO project. Their investment is helping us expand the capabilities of our platform to meet the growing demand for sustainable, intensified chemical manufacturing.

Stay tuned, the GALI Reactor is coming.

And with it, a whole new way to think about gas–liquid flow chemistry.
